Job Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Skin & Wound Provider

Position: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Pay: $119,000.00 - $132,000.00 DOE with bonus potential

Shift: Monday through Friday; 6:00am – 3:00pm, no nights, weekends, or call

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop collaborative multidisciplinary wound care teams.
  • Travel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds and house calls in an assigned region.
  • Provide the highest quality skin and wound care services to patients.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess changes to patients’ health care needs.
  • Perform bedside wound care skills including wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Track the progress of wound healing and document promptly in UWH’s wound care EMR.
  • Develop treatment plans for skin and wound conditions based on patient needs and UWH’s Clinical Practice Guidelines.
  • Collaborate virtually with medical leadership, including board-certified physicians and surgeons.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state.
  • Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license.
  • 1-2 years of wound care and/or surgical experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication.

Education:

License & Certification:

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state.
  • Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time: 0.8FTE or Part-Time: 0.6FTE
