Job Responsibilities

Plan, prioritize, organize, direct and control all admissions and transfers between hospitals, departments and/or nursing units for AdventHealth.
Utilize complex acuity algorithms for time-sensitive medical events.
Collaborate with physicians and departments within the Advent Health system as well as other facilities across the southeastern U.S. and internationally.
Gather and analyze critical clinical facts to identify appropriate levels of care.
Coordinate emergent and non-emergent transfers from referring facilities.
Act as a liaison between referring hospitals, physicians, and nursing department on transfer and placement of patients.
Proactively initiate steps to prevent EMTALA and Florida Access of Care violations.
Adhere to the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and various applicable regulations.
Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in computer database skills
Proficient in real-time documentation in electronic format

Preferred Skills

2 years minimum relevant acute care experience
