Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all efforts to minimize the spread of infectious diseases throughout the community.
- Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of residents and family members.
- Manage and oversee prevention process measures across the continuum.
- Provide appropriate orientation and training to adequately support each new employee regarding infection control.
- Collaborate with other highly skilled healthcare professionals, and serve as liaison to DON and Health Services team in reference to wellness initiatives.
- Act as a highly respected and dedicated wellness liaison providing nursing expertise in a team-centered and compassionate working environment.

- Strong Assessment & Care Planning skills
- CDC Infection Preventionist certificate
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience as a Director of Staff Development in a long-term care and/or skilled nursing environment
Requirements
Experience:
Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program, college, or university
License & Certification:
- Current Arizona license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- CDC Infection Preventionist certificate (or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire)
