Job Title: Ambulatory RN, Oncology
Position: RN providing care for pediatric and adolescent oncology patients
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $34.50-$56.93 Hourly

Job Responsibilities
- Provide Relationship Based Care for patients/families with oncology diagnoses.
- Utilize enhanced specialty knowledge and skills to provide nursing excellence.
- Perform nursing assessments using various methods and area-specific tools.
- Develop or individualize care plans and establish goals relative to family needs.
- Evaluate and document changes to the care plan.
- Develop teaching plans/protocols to meet patient and family learning needs.
- Identify patient preferences and needs, including motivation to learn.
- Perform nursing care according to established procedures/protocols.
- Anticipate and intervene in emergent situations effectively.
- Communicate with families and multidisciplinary team members to identify healthcare needs.
- Update the team on changes in patient status.
- Use appropriate resources for referrals or consultations.
- Stay updated on nursing practice using current literature.
- Incorporate hospital quality initiatives into daily tasks.
- Adhere to communication, service excellence, and professional image standards.
- Work cooperatively as a team member to achieve unit and hospital goals.
- Identify learning needs and seek resources for professional advancement.
- Perform job functions focusing on innovation, service excellence, and teamwork.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency with chemical disinfection and sterilization protocols.

Requirements
Experience: 2-3 years of previous RN Oncology experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
License & Certification:
- Current RN license in Illinois
- Basic Life Support certification
