Job Responsibilities

Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
Collect patient health history
Record information in electronic health record
Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans as directed
Administer medications (including vaccination, IV therapy, oxygen administration)
Provide comprehensive wound care
Perform phone and in-person patient triage for clinical concerns
Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia
Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients
Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants and technicians as needed
Support quality initiatives and compliance with Patient Safety initiatives
Participate in clinical inquiry and activities to foster evidence-based practice
Provide emergency care in accordance with organizational policy
Engage in self-assessment and participate in activities to promote own professional growth

Required Skills

Core Skills

Registered Nurse License in New York
Basic Life Support Certification
Knowledge of nursing practice and clinical policies
Ability to assess and interpret patient information
Clinical documentation skills

Preferred Skills

ACLS certification
Membership in pertinent professional organizations

Requirements

Experience: One year experience required for Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing

Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing highly preferred; a Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing requires a minimum of one year experience

License & Certification:

Registered Nurse License-NYS
Basic Life Support Certification through American Heart Association
