Job Responsibilities

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
Incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
Case management for patients and their families.
May promote/provide staff education.
Responsible for rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after-hour calls.
May mentor new advanced practice providers.
May precept APP students.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience:

Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program

License & Certification:

Active State of Nevada Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
Registered Nurse (RN) license
National certification as AGNP, ANP, FNP, AGNP, or GNP for APRN
Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants for PA

Schedule:

Per Diem with potential for weekend or after-hours calls
