Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive 24/7 inpatient coverage in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Admit and manage patients in a supportive environment
- Deliver quality care with a focus on interacting with patients and families
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Certification as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification
- PALS certification
- State of Alaska Advanced Practice Nurse License
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a Level II Pediatric Trauma center
- 2 years’ experience practicing as an NP in a PICU
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years practicing as an NP in a PICU
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing
License & Certification:
- Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification
- DEA Certification
- PALS Certification
- State of Alaska Advanced Practice Nurse License
