Job Responsibilities
- Collect pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
- Analyze assessment data to determine the actual and potential diagnoses or issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for an individualized plan for the healthcare consumer.
- Develop and modify a plan of care that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
- Implement the identified care plan.
- Coordinate care delivery and transitions in care.
- Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Evaluate progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
- Engage in professional role activities, including leadership appropriate to their education and position.
- Practice ethically and in a culturally congruent manner.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other stakeholders in nursing practice.
- Contribute to the quality of nursing practice.
- Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services.

Requirements
Experience: Foundational Registered Nurse job description for all RNs encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
License & Certification:
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
