Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate care planning with other disciplines
- Provide age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs
- Act as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care
- Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals
- Participate in hourly rounding
- Observe safety guidelines and safe work practices
- May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s)
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members
- Work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Possess basic computer skills
Required Skills
Core Skills
- RN - Current State of AZ Nurse license or an RN license from a compact state with multi-state privileges
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support certification
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
Preferred Skills
- 6 months to 1 year of ICU RN experience
- 2+ years of PCU/Cardiac RN experience
Requirements
Experience: 6 months to 1 year of ICU RN experience; may consider 2+ years of PCU/Cardiac RN experience
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
License & Certification:
- Current RN license in AZ or compact state
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire
