Job Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients.
- Demonstrating competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population.
- Managing patients in a high-acuity environment with optimal nurse-to-patient ratios.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Clinical competence in the care and management of target patient populations
- Nursing theory and practice knowledge
- Crisis management and trauma response skills
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Trauma Nurse course (TNCC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Requirements
Experience: Prior clinical experience in emergency nursing; specific years not mentioned.
Education: Completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- TNCC certification within one year of hire
- PALS certification within 1 year of hire
Schedule:
- Various night shift schedules with different start times
- Positions with FTE of .875 - 1.0 eligible for full-time benefits; .5 - .874 for part-time pro-rated benefits
