Job Responsibilities
- Rapidly assess a patient's conditions, including vital signs and other physiological parameters, and intervene with the appropriate care.
- Monitor and provide care to patients with critically ill, unstable, and/or life-threatening conditions.
- Manage various life-support systems like ventilation and heart-monitoring.
- Participate in rapid response and other emergency situations.
- Administer medications and other treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about the patient's condition and care plan.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Ability to function effectively under stress
- Experience with advanced medical equipment and procedures
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
- 1+ years of experience in a critical care unit (ICU)
- ACLS certification preferred
Requirements
Experience: 1+ years of experience in a critical care unit (ICU) preferred
Education: ADN or higher degree in nursing
License & Certification:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- ACLS certification preferred
