Plan and deliver nursing care utilizing nursing processes, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation.
Oversee and document the plan of care in collaboration with various disciplines and services.
Complete patient admission history and manage the discharge planning process according to hospital policies.
Provide nursing care such as IV site monitoring and specimen collection.
Administer medications according to physician's orders and hospital policy.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team during daily care planning rounds.
Ensure safe sedation administration and monitor patient recovery.
Provide high-quality patient care that meets attendance and communication standards.
Conduct nursing multi-system assessments including vital signs and dressing changes.
Ensure appropriate restraint orders and documentation as required.
Administer proper wound care following established policies.
Independently access and document in the electronic health record according to hospital policy.
Communicate critical lab results in accordance with hospital procedures.
Review the plan of care with patients and families and address any concerns.
Promote a safe working environment by avoiding medication errors and falls.
Ensure effective communication during patient hand-off at shift changes.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
Participate in nursing governance council and other unit activities.
Meet or exceed unit standards and complete documentation timely.

Registered Nurse licensure in Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC)
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
PALS certification (American Heart Association, within 1 year)
ACLS certification (American Heart Association, within 1 year)
BSN degree or enrollment in BSN program
Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Effective communication skills

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN in an ICU environment preferred.

Education: BSN degree or currently enrolled in a BSN program.

License & Certification:

RN - Registered Nurse Licensure in Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC)
BLS - American Heart Association
PALS - American Heart Association
ACLS - American Heart Association
