Job Responsibilities

Collaboratively work as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family-centered care.
Systematically and continuously collect and assess data related to patient health status to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care.
Utilize evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health.
Establish goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers.
Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care.
Delegate and supervise care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assume responsibility for professional development.
Perform/direct ACLS.
Interpret rhythms independently and perform defibrillation.
Administer advanced lifesaving medications.
Conduct independent, templated ('RN-only') visits for patient assessment using clinical judgment based on established protocols and clinical practice standards.
Provide specialty patient education where certification/additional certificate is required for the role (e.g., Sedation, Telemetry monitoring & interpretation).
Assist with complex procedures (e.g., advanced wound therapy, central line management, device interrogation).
Manage complex infusions including hazardous medication administration and blood products.
Coordinate patient care, provide direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and assist with minor procedures.
Float to other areas as needed for operations.

Requirements

Experience: At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

License & Certification:

Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider

Schedule:

Must be available for rotating holidays.
