Carry out the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Provide patient physical care including bed baths, toileting, grooming, and changing bed linen.
Assist with patient positioning, lifting, and turning, using adaptive and transfer equipment.
Monitor vital signs and blood glucose levels as per established guidelines.
Prepare patients for meals, assisting when appropriate.
Perform regular patient rounds and answer call lights promptly.
Document patient care in a timely manner adhering to established standards.
Organize patient room clutter to ensure a clean environment.
Obtain and label specimens consistent with established procedures.
Provide mentoring and teaching for new nursing assistants.
Complete additional departmental, organizational, or network activities as required.

Experience: Recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care.

Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent; nursing assistant certification preferred.

License & Certification:

Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program within 120 days
Enrollment in or possession of a valid license for a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT-accredited program
