Job Responsibilities
- Conducts concurrent chart reviews to identify potential quality of care issues.
- Works collaboratively with direct care givers when possible.
- Collaborates with the Health Information Management team to promote cooperation in data collection.
- Demonstrates an expert level of knowledge in assessing care according to specific guidelines.
- Understands data storage and data sharing methods, investigating data to find patterns and trends.
- Converts data into usable information that is easy to understand.
- Assists in developing and maintaining current policies and procedures for data collection.
- Audits reports from benchmarking organizations to ensure validity and resolves discrepancies.
- Collaborates with the Clinical Quality and Accreditation Research Analyst in data aggregation and submission.
- Assesses potential changes in data collection and collaborates to develop compliance strategies.
- Assists in developing communication tools for understanding benchmark reports.
- Participates in teams effectively and efficiently.
- Demonstrates effective interactions with physicians, clinicians, and staff.
- Elevates outcomes through solicited feedback for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates professional behavior in guiding clinicians.
- Understands and uses teaching principles for adult learners.
- Participates in the ongoing evaluation of data collection and benchmarking systems.
- Works with HIM management and coding team to enhance clinician documentation.
- Manages ongoing evaluation of the CDI program and recommends realistic changes.
- Recommends strategic educational offerings based on interaction with clinical staff.

Requirements
