Job Responsibilities
- Manages the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care within assigned department on a 24 hour basis.
- Establishes, implements, and maintains patient care and service standards to meet expectations in a changing healthcare market.
- Holds staff accountable for providing the highest quality of care in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Works with Nursing Leadership to develop strategic/business plans for integrated services across the continuum of care.
- Manages continuous improvement of clinical practices, services, and operations.
- Develops and monitors departmental budgets for effective use of resources.
- Monitors financial performance and implements strategies to reduce costs while improving quality of care/service.
- Determines appropriate staff mix, screens, interviews, hires, and trains department staff.
- Develops, implements, and monitors departmental policies and procedures to support organizational goals.
- Manages and resolves human resource and risk management issues.
- Promotes a culture of safety and ensures adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Participates in leadership committees and forums at various levels.
Required Skills

- Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act and regulatory requirements

Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with electronic medical records
- Master's degree in nursing
- National Certification in specialty
Requirements
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience including three (3) years of management experience.
Education: Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree).
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support certification
Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Days: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat
- Working hours: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
