Job Responsibilities

Upholds Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.
Demonstrates a professional, supportive attitude.
Participates in problem identification and resolution in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
Prioritizes work assignments appropriately to ensure completion of patient care activities.
Reports unusual findings to the Registered Nurse and discusses discharge barriers.
Documents patient care activities accurately and completely.
Maintains a safe environment for self and others by applying standard precautions.
Observes patient/family conditions and reports sudden changes to the Registered Nurse.
Transports patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens throughout the medical center.
Practices customer service standards and anticipates customer needs.
Maintains and protects patient confidentiality.
Attends all mandatory meetings and participates in professional development.
Organizes work to minimize overtime and utilizes resources effectively.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital or equivalent setting.

Education: State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program.

License & Certification:

Basic Life Support
Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant may be required
