Job Responsibilities
- Collect resident data through interviews, observations, and record reviews.
- Develop and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Implement care plans, supervise assessments and functional care plans, and monitor changes in condition.
- Ensure nursing care aligns with state and federal regulations.
- Manage and evaluate nursing staff performance, delegate tasks appropriately, and provide feedback on unprofessional behavior.
- Ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
- Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate physician orders.
- Provide detailed verbal and written reports.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare and facility policies.
- Administer medications accurately and adhere to pharmaceutical protocols.
- Manage controlled substances and review medication sheets for compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain licensure and attend ongoing training.
- Support a positive work culture and participate in audits and QA initiatives.
- Stay current on Department of Health regulations.
