Job Title: Nurse Coordinator (Shift Supervisor)

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Type:

Shift: Flexible to work all tours: Sunday - Saturday; Monday - Friday, required shifts: 3:30 PM - 4 AM; Weekends and Holidays

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as nursing supervisor during non-administrative tours.
  • Manages and directs employees, independently allocating resources.
  • Makes necessary changes in staffing due to unplanned leave or changes in patient acuity.
  • Delivers nursing responsibilities demonstrating leadership and experience in patient care.
  • Directs and organizes care delivery to assure continuity and evaluates outcomes.
  • Applies evidence-based practice and formulates outcomes for groups of patients.
  • Collaborates with staff using professional standards and evaluates programs or service activities.
  • Rounds and provides consultations to providers.
  • Collaborates with the Administrative Officer of the Day (AOD) and other interdisciplinary team members.

Requirements

Experience: 2 years of professional nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I, Level 3

Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE

License & Certification:

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse

Schedule:

  • Must be flexible to work all tours
  • 24-hour coverage in 12-hour increments required

COVID-19 Requirements: Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required
