Job Responsibilities

Serve as a resource person to physicians, nurses, patients, and family members.
Plan and conduct educational sessions to promote staff development, student competence, and positive patient/family outcomes using principles of adult learning.
Model expert communication skills to colleagues through example.
Demonstrate foresight regarding the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes based on intuition and experience.
Act as an expert clinician and leader within their area of specialty.
Complete employee conference, risk management, and unit management reports within specified time frames.
Identify the need for revision and evaluate the effectiveness of operational forms.
Provide and coordinate the resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes.
Model time management skills through example.
Ensure compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for the unit.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Registered Nursing License in Georgia
BLS certification
ACLS certification (may be required post-hire)
Strong communication skills
Leadership and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

MSN or DNP
Nursing certification

Requirements

Experience: 2 years of recent nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in the area of concentration

Education: Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

License & Certification:

Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
BLS certification
ACLS certification (may be required post-hire)
