Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource person to physicians, nurses, patients, and family members.
  • Plan and conduct educational sessions to promote staff development, student competence, and positive patient/family outcomes using principles of adult learning.
  • Model expert communication skills to colleagues through example.
  • Demonstrate foresight regarding the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes based on intuition and experience.
  • Act as an expert clinician and leader within their area of specialty.
  • Complete employee conference, risk management, and unit management reports within specified time frames.
  • Identify the need for revision and evaluate the effectiveness of operational forms.
  • Provide and coordinate the resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes.
  • Model time management skills through example.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for the unit.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Registered Nursing License in Georgia
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification (may be required post-hire)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Leadership and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

  • MSN or DNP
  • Nursing certification

Requirements

Experience: 2 years of recent nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in the area of concentration

Education: Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

License & Certification:

  • Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification (may be required post-hire)
