Job Responsibilities
- Administers treatments as directed.
- Takes and records vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration).
- Pours, administers, charts, and records medications.
- Gives prescribed intramuscular and subcutaneous injections and inoculations.
- Observes patient behavior and condition and reports changes to appropriate staff.
- Records information on patients' charts.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Possession of a Delaware Practical Nurse license, Delaware temporary license, or multi-state compact license.
Preferred Skills
- At least six months' experience as a Practical Nurse for Licensed Practical Nurse II.
- At least eighteen months' experience as a Practical Nurse for Licensed Practical Nurse III.
Requirements
Experience: At least six months' experience for Licensed Practical Nurse II, eighteen months' experience for Licensed Practical Nurse III.
