Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate organizational through-put by evaluating unit staffing and patient placement as needed.
- Assess needs for advisory status and measures to reduce/remove the facility from being on advisory.
- Organize and schedule after hours, emergent, and weekend surgical cases as needed and notify all necessary staff of procedures.
- Serve as incident commander for all internal/external events as the command center is established and additional leadership is notified.
- Manage internal staff conflicts that arise when Managers/Directors/Vice Presidents are not present on site.
- Ensure EMTALA guidelines are followed for patient transfers.
- Assess and monitor safety concerns within the organization.
- Escalate concerns that increase the liability of the hospital to the Administrator on call.
- Serve as an example for all staff in regards to professional behaviors and conflict management.

Requirements
Experience: 2-5 years of nursing experience, with 2 years of charge nurse or leadership experience within last 5 years.
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
License & Certification:
- Active RN license in state of residence
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
