Job Responsibilities

Enhance the efficient placement of patients to maximize census potential.
Coordinate with physicians and nursing to place patients safely and appropriately.
Establish placement priorities together with key stakeholders.
Act as a resource and liaison between Physicians, Nursing, and Admitting involved in patient placement.
Communicate with Inpatient Nurse Managers and Administrative Representatives regarding census and patient placement strategies.
Collaborate with operational staff to ensure safe, timely, and efficient patient flow.
Apply leadership principles and customer service standards in daily practice.
Employ problem solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
Participate in difficult or critical situations as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Critical care or Emergency Department experience.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in acute care nursing.

Education: Bachelor's in Nursing required. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, either an additional 3 years of experience or active enrollment in a Bachelor's program with a defined end date is required.

License & Certification:

Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC.

Schedule:

One holiday shift required per year.
