Provide direct patient/client care under the direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
Assist patients/clients with safe transfers and ambulation.
Report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patients/clients.
Practice accepted infection control principles.
Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
Promote positive, supportive, respectful communication to patients/clients, their families, and other employees.
Ensure respect for patients/clients and their privacy and property.
Assist patients/clients with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
Contribute to the management and efficient operation of the Agency.
Perform treatments and procedures according to Agency policy.
Demonstrate commitment, professional growth, and competency by attending 12 hours of in-services per year.
Promote the Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Ability to read, write, and verbally report clinical information.
Demonstrates interest in the welfare of the ill and elderly.
Proof of current CPR.
Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and written Skills Test.
Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move patients/clients.
Ability to use durable medical equipment in the home.

Experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, or home health agency.

Experience: At least one year experience preferred.

Education: High School Diploma Preferred.
