Job Responsibilities
- Teach in the Master of Science (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree programs.
- Possibly teach in other degree programs as assigned.
- Engage in research, scholarship, and service activities.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Nurse practitioner certification
- Experience caring for the adult-gerontology population in primary care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Philosophy aligned with Mercer University's mission and values
Preferred Skills
- AGPCNP or ANP certification
- Prior full-time faculty experience
- Experience teaching at the graduate level
- Experience mentoring DNP students in scholarly projects
- Evidence of scholarly productivity in area of expertise
Requirements
Experience: Significant experience caring for the adult-gerontology population in the primary care setting.
Education: Doctoral degree in nursing or related field from an accredited university/college.
License & Certification:
- Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
- Authorization to practice as a nurse practitioner in Georgia
- Nurse practitioner certification
