Job Responsibilities
- Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions consistent with age and condition.
- Performs ongoing patient and family assessments and identifies variations from diagnoses.
- Continually evaluates patient responses to care, teaching, and discharge plans.
- Documents patient progress and shares observations with healthcare team and families.
- Contributes to team effort by ensuring compliance with medication and documentation standards.
- Provides orientation to unit and hospital processes for patients and family members.
- Supervises patient care activities of assigned team members, delegating appropriately.
- Provides timely feedback and review of care delivery to maintain patient safety.
- Works collaboratively with patient care team to establish and implement plan of care.
- Participates in patient care rounds and conferences as appropriate.
- Models best practices and provides guidance, training, and support to students and new employees.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

Requirements
Experience:
Education: Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree
License & Certification:
- Current State of Arizona RN license or RN license from a compact state
- Current BLS certification
- PALS certification within 9 months
