Job Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients, including medication administration and treatment.
Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Accompany, assist, and represent the needs of patients to other providers.
Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify nursing care plans; prepare required records and reports.
Gather and assess information about patients to meet nursing needs; assist and consult with physicians in the performance of procedures and diagnostic tests.
Provide oversight to staff who monitor telemetry systems; alert primary nurse of changes in underlying rhythms and life-threatening arrhythmias.
Organize, supervise, and accept responsibility for the quality of care provided by co-workers.
Participate in promoting a healthful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Participate in the implementation of patient care standards, infection control standards, and quality assurance criteria.
Monitor patients for significant and critical changes and initiate procedures as required.
Document care given according to set standards and at required intervals.
Interpret and explain procedures, regimens, and services to patients and families.
Prepare patients for procedures and operations; assist physicians as needed.

Requirements

Experience: Six months experience as a Clinical Nurse I with AHS or one year full time experience in a comparable level at a minimum 100-bed hospital.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

License & Certification:
