Job Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients, including medication administration and treatment.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Accompany, assist, and represent the needs of patients to other providers.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify nursing care plans; prepare required records and reports.
- Gather and assess information about patients to meet nursing needs; assist and consult with physicians in the performance of procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Provide oversight to staff who monitor telemetry systems; alert primary nurse of changes in underlying rhythms and life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Organize, supervise, and accept responsibility for the quality of care provided by co-workers.
- Participate in promoting a healthful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Participate in the implementation of patient care standards, infection control standards, and quality assurance criteria.
- Monitor patients for significant and critical changes and initiate procedures as required.
- Document care given according to set standards and at required intervals.
- Interpret and explain procedures, regimens, and services to patients and families.
- Prepare patients for procedures and operations; assist physicians as needed.

Requirements
Experience: Six months experience as a Clinical Nurse I with AHS or one year full time experience in a comparable level at a minimum 100-bed hospital.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
- Other certifications as required per unit/department specialty
