Job Responsibilities
- Lead shift operations to ensure delivery of high-quality care and exceptional customer experience.
- Manage staffing assignments for oncoming and offgoing shifts based on patient acuity and skill set of team members.
- Coordinate patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners.
- Monitor overall status of patients and closely monitor seriously ill patients.
- Participate in the delivery of patient care ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies.
- Serve as a resource supporting frontline team members and providers.
- Support clinical collaboration focusing on expected patient length of stay.
- Perform direct patient care activities as required.
- Enhance customer experience through Nurse Leader rounds and respond to patient/family and physician complaints.
- Participate in and/or lead safety huddles.
- Promote change and problem solving.
- Assess equipment needs for patient care.
- Assist with retention strategies for new team members.
- Maintain a regulatory ready environment of care.
- Allocate and adjust staff assignments and breaks as needed.
- Utilize effective fiscal management skills.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Requirements
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an OR Advanced care setting; one (1) year in a clinical leader role.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (preferred)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification (preferred)
