Job Responsibilities
- Provide support and work alongside the nurse manager of specific unit(s) or service.
- Engage staff in decision making through shared governance processes.
- Promote patient-centered care and service excellence.
- Support the charge nurse and other nurse leaders to ensure effective running of the care delivery system.
- Assist with budget development and monitor fiscal outcomes for the work unit.
- Hold staff accountable for performance standards at the point of care.
- Promote staff competency in clinical care delivery.
- Participate in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement activities.
- Represent the organization positively to the community and professional organizations.
- Mentor others while learning the necessary skills for progressive responsibilities in nursing management.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical experience required.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from accredited nursing school required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- BLS - Instructor or Basic Life Support
- RN - Multi-state Compact or Reg Nurse (Single State)
- National certification in nursing administration preferred
