Job Responsibilities

Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Consortium-wide Quality Management (QM) Plan.
Facilitates and promotes quality improvement measures and initiatives.
Ensures compliance is monitored and reported in an appropriate and timely manner.
Provides feedback, suggestions, and problem solving to guide SEARHC improvement efforts.
Uses skills in data analysis, chart reviews, and other QM tools/methodologies to carry out an effective QM Plan.
Develops, maintains, and utilizes knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards (TJC/CMS/OSHA/DNV).
Actively participates in continuing education/training/conferences to stay updated on standard changes.
Facilitates/coaches/guides leadership and staff on regulatory standards compliance.
Assures appropriate action plans are developed and monitored based on data and leading practices.
Works collaboratively with the QM Manager and leaders on quality assessment and risk management.
Investigates concerns, trends, or risk factors impacting patient safety and organizational safety.
Collaborates with Medical Staff leadership on procedural issues related to Medical Staff peer review.
Prepares peer review cases for the Medical Director, involving detailed chart reviews.
Tracks cases designated for review to appropriate staff members.
Communicates professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
Serves as a resource, mentor, and role model in integrating QM into everyday processes.
Performs other duties as assigned, including cross coverage of other QM Team member roles.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Registered Nursing license in Alaska
Leadership skills in facilitating and leading cross-functional teams
Data analysis and chart review skills

Preferred Skills

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar certification

Requirements

Experience: 3 years of experience monitoring quality and regulatory requirements, planning, and coordinating process changes.

Education:

License & Certification:

Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska
CPHQ or similar certification obtained within 3 years
