Job Responsibilities

Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Conducts systematic, dynamic assessments including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors.
Establishes daily goals with the patient and family.
Forms a plan of care based on assessment data and problem identification.
Implements nursing care according to the care plan to ensure continuity of care.
Ensures patient safety and performs medication administration.
Provides ordered treatments and patient/family education.
Documents care in the patient's healthcare record.
Continuously evaluates patient status and effectiveness of the nursing care, modifying the care plan as needed.
Manages and corrects the sequence, timing, and effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Skills

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Requirements

Experience: None

Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

License & Certification:

Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
