Job Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care as an RN within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas.
- Adheres to institutional policies, procedures, and standards defined by UAMS, ANA, and specialty patient populations.
- Collects and documents assessment data.
- Develops a Plan of Care (POC) per standard and implements it including medical orders and interdisciplinary approaches.
- Evaluates progress towards desired outcomes.
- Provides effective patient/family education and discharge planning.
- Administers medication per standard including drug information to patients and families.
- Acts as a resource/support to others and assists internal and external stakeholders with exceptional customer service.
- Delivers patient care according to defined nursing modality principles.
- Delegates care based on UAMS standards, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to a positive work environment conducive to clinical education.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and demonstrates effective communication skills.
- Interacts with the public in a professional and friendly manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
License & Certification:
- Valid Arkansas RN License
