Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $102,500 - $130,000 DOE

Shift: M-F (shared on-call with other nurse managers)

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of a written plan of care for each resident and ensure treatments align with care plans and wishes.
  • Complete planning, scheduling, and revising of the MDS, including implementation of CAA’s and Triggers.
  • Make daily rounds to ensure nursing personnel are performing their assignments.
  • Review nurses’ notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of care provided and resident responses.
  • Develop and maintain good working rapport with facility personnel to ensure residents' needs are met.
  • Participate in reviews of discharge plans and prepare reports for the Care Plan Committee.
  • Delegate, train, evaluate, and support RN, LPN, and CNA personnel.
  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services and fill in as needed.
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
  • Make recommendations for changes in procedures, policies, and general nursing practices to ensure quality patient care.
  • Attend continuing education programs to stay updated in the profession and provide leadership for nursing training.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Registered Nurse license
  • Supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • Fluency in English
  • Active CPR/BLS certification

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in patient care plan development
  • Understanding of HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a supervisor or charge nurse in a skilled nursing facility.

Education: Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

License & Certification:

  • Active RN license
  • Active CPR/BLS certification
