Job Responsibilities

Obtain patient history and perform physical examinations.
Order and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Formulate diagnostic impressions and develop treatment plans.
Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
Offer counseling and education to meet patient needs.
Make appropriate referrals.
Prescribe and dispense prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies.
Perform minor procedures.
Assess data reflective of patient's status and interpret information relative to patient's age-specific needs.
Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy development.
Participate in other departmental or institutional committee assignments as needed.

Required Skills

Core Skills

3+ years of NP/PA experience
Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing (for Nurse Practitioners)
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program (for Physician Assistants)
Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP (for Nurse Practitioners)
Current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice (for Physician Assistants)
Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
DEA registration
