Job Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and infusion therapy to patients.
- Monitor and manage side effects associated with chemotherapy.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team based on patient assessment findings.
- Provide pain management and care with access devices.
- Apply the nursing process in direct patient care.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Oncology knowledge
- Chemotherapy administration
- Infusion therapy proficiency
- Blood product administration
- Port-a-cath and venous access device skills
Preferred Skills
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
- Experience in Oncology nursing
Requirements
Experience: 2 years of nursing experience
Education: Nursing degree/diploma; BSN required within 3 years of hire or equivalent education/experience
License & Certification:
- California Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Current ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Provider card (to be obtained within first 4 weeks of hire)
Schedule:
- Per-Diem, 10-hour day shifts
