Job Responsibilities

Actively pursue new knowledge and skills as CNL practice, patient needs, and health care microsystems evolve.
Focus on being a resource to the patient, microsystem healthcare team and the nursing profession.
Maintain continuous clinical leadership.
Focus on communication, relationship building, creating and sustaining teams, and supporting staff engagement.
Proactively address issues related to quality, patient safety, and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with members of the healthcare team.
Develop in organizational LEAN management principles such as team input, evaluating value in process steps, and removing barriers to patient flow.
Foster and support shared governance to ensure nursing's voice in the organization.

Optimize care processes and delivery dynamics to better serve the patient and team.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years acute care nursing for a similar patient population and progressive experience in healthcare including direct patient care and staff education.

Education: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school or university with a CNL program.

License & Certification:

Registered Nurse (Single State) - Required
RN - Multi-state Compact - Required
Basic Life Support - Required
BLS - Instructor - Required
BLS - Provisional - Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Preferred
ACLS - Instructor - Preferred
ACLS - Provisional - Preferred
Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader from the Commission of Nurse Certification - Required
