Job Title: Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner Job with CommonSpirit Health in Seattle, WA

Position: Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $152,791.00 - $215,233.00 plus call compensation

Shift: Weekends - every 4th weekend for inpatient rounds, and on-call for OR and inpatient calls (NOT in-house); Weeknights - 1 night/week, NOT in-house, on-call for OR and inpatient calls

Job Responsibilities

  • First assist in adult cardiac surgery, including Endoscopic Vein Harvesting
  • Manage patients in the hospital, both critical care and telemetry units
  • Spend the majority of time in the OR and hospital
  • Perform bedside procedures based on interest and experience
  • Occasional clinic responsibilities may be involved

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Advanced background in nursing
  • Understanding of anatomy, physiology, histology, and pharmacology
  • Strong interpersonal and counseling skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Experience with Endoscopic Vein Harvesting
  • Certification by specialty area

Requirements

Experience: 1+ years experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery is preferred

Education:

License & Certification:

  • Washington State Registered Nurse License
  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in Washington
  • ACLS
  • BLS

Schedule:

  • Operating room and inpatient call duties
