Job Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of nurses, technologists, and medical assistants, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure professional development and accountability.
Oversee patient care services, ensuring that nursing staff adheres to clinical standards and delivers compassionate, high-quality care to patients.
Coordinate the flow of patients through the department and monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as needed.
Assist in procedure rooms and pre and post procedure areas as needed.
Develop and implement protocols to improve patient care and operational efficiencies.
Conduct regular audits and evaluations of care practices to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Monitor for infection control and report patient procedural complications.
Ensure that the nursing department is in full compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and healthcare regulations.
Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulatory changes affecting patient care.
Act as a liaison between the nursing team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Communicate changes in protocols, patient conditions, procedure schedule, or staffing needs to relevant parties in a timely manner.
Lead training and orientation initiatives for new and existing staff, ensuring that all nursing personnel are up to date on licensing, best practices, clinical procedures, and safety protocols.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the nursing team, with patients, or between departments.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of nursing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role; 3 years of experience in cardiac cath lab and cardiac electrophysiology.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is required.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
