Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of nurses, technologists, and medical assistants, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure professional development and accountability.
  • Oversee patient care services, ensuring that nursing staff adheres to clinical standards and delivers compassionate, high-quality care to patients.
  • Coordinate the flow of patients through the department and monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as needed.
  • Assist in procedure rooms and pre and post procedure areas as needed.
  • Develop and implement protocols to improve patient care and operational efficiencies.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations of care practices to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Monitor for infection control and report patient procedural complications.
  • Ensure that the nursing department is in full compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulatory changes affecting patient care.
  • Act as a liaison between the nursing team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Communicate changes in protocols, patient conditions, procedure schedule, or staffing needs to relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Lead training and orientation initiatives for new and existing staff, ensuring that all nursing personnel are up to date on licensing, best practices, clinical procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the nursing team, with patients, or between departments.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
