Job Responsibilities
- Ensure 100% compliance on medical surveillance.
- Accurate medical charting according to OSHA record keeping standards.
- Complete 4 health & wellness initiatives per year.
- Maintain professional licenses and remain current on occupational health matters.
- Maximize team member productivity by fostering trusting relationships with team members.
- Connect team members with needed resources to improve their health.
- Decrease disability claims and on-the-job injuries.
- Schedule follow-up care and educate team members on their diagnosis.
- Monitor and review post-offer physical exams, including drug testing.
- Perform health audits/assessments and SEG to ensure compliance with OSHA and government regulations.
- Partner with Human Resources for accurate and timely onboarding of new team members.
- Create and maintain all medical records/profiles including workers' compensation.
- Prepare accident reports and insurance forms for workers' compensation.
- Accurately chart all incident investigations and related visit updates.
- Perform regular checks on all AEDs, trauma bags, first-aid kits, and PPE, recording all information.
- Assess medical surveillance needs and implement onsite wellness programs.
- Schedule and perform SEG testing to ensure workforce safety.
- Plan and execute mock codes and PEO triage training.
- Enhance medical safety knowledge and assist with conducting risk assessments.
- Coordinate health and wellness promotion campaigns with the Benefits manager.
- Advise team members on wellness standards and assist supervisors with enforcement.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Record management experience
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and documentation
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites & SharePoint
Preferred Skills
- Cority knowledge
- 3-5 years practical nursing experience
- Work experience as Occupational Health Nurse
- CPR and First Aid Certification
Requirements
Experience: 3-5 years practical nursing experience
Education: Registered Nursing Degree
License & Certification:
- Alabama Nursing License
- CPR and First Aid Certification
