Job Responsibilities

Responsible for cardiac and oximetry monitor surveillance for monitored and telemetry patients.
Report rhythm changes and potentially lethal rhythms to a Registered Nurse following outlined workflow.
Interact directly with physicians regarding the interpretation of cardiac rhythm patterns or changes.
Maintain a safe, hazard-free and clean environment that facilitates quality patient-focused care.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition
Monitoring ECGs in a healthcare or institutional setting

Preferred Skills

Medical terminology
Advanced cardiac rhythm recognition

Requirements

Experience: 6 months experience working in a healthcare or institutional setting; 6 months experience monitoring ECGs

Education: Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course required within six (6) months of hire
