Job Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care during invasive procedures.
- Work with team members to ensure rooms are adequately prepared for procedures.
- Facilitate smooth and efficient room turnover and patient flow.
- Complete all paperwork and computer charting for accurate and timely patient charges.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of the physician during procedures based on previous experience.
- Provide education to the patient and family regarding their care.
- Address any concerns raised by patients and their families.
- Facilitate communications between patients, physicians, staff, family, and other departments as needed.
- Follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- General nursing duties
- Skills specific to endoscopy specialty
- Room turnover and patient flow management
Preferred Skills
- CGRN certification
- Experience in endoscopy and/or telemetry
Requirements
Experience: One or more years of Critical Care or Surgical Service experience required. Endoscopy and/or telemetry experience strongly preferred.
Education: Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
License & Certification:
- Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License
- BLS or BCLS Certification
- ALS or ACLS Certification
