Job Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for a wide variety of patients, including children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and disabled individuals.
- Possess knowledge of medical-surgical medication usage and administration.
- Administer medications safely and provide proper documentation of patient conditions.
- Recognize medical emergencies and react with skill in emergency situations.
- Initiate life-saving measures in the absence of a physician.
- Assist the medical team in administering advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) measures.
- Perform Charge Nurse duties when designated.
- Complete all patient charting within department standards during the normal duty day.
- Maintain accurate notes in both hard copy and electronic medical records.
- Adhere to and maintain a system of supply inventory management.
- Practice hospital safety, infection control, and aseptic techniques.
- Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with co-workers and other healthcare team members.
- Obtain and document patient history and pertinent family history.
- Analyze cardiac rhythms and notify a Physician of any abnormal results.
- Perform post-operative recovery and discharge within established criteria.
- Prepare patients for treatments and procedures, including surgical interventions.
- Documentation of all activity in accordance with requirements.
- Set up, operate, and monitor specialized medical equipment.
- Perform a full range of nursing procedures as prescribed by the provider.
Required Skills

- Experience in PACU, ICU, or emergency room
- Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a clinical nurse in an inpatient care setting in the last 5 years.
Education: Associates Degree of Nursing
License & Certification:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Schedule:
- 9-hour shifts between 0600-2000; shifts will rotate based on department needs.
