Job Title: Reg. Nurse Ambulatory Surgical Unit 2025-1883

Position: Registered Nurse

Job Type:

Pay: Up to $36/hr + H&W $4.93/hr

Shift: 9-hour shift between the hours of 0600-2000; shifts rotate based on department needs

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for a wide variety of patients, including children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and disabled individuals.
  • Possess knowledge of medical-surgical medication usage and administration.
  • Administer medications safely and provide proper documentation of patient conditions.
  • Recognize medical emergencies and react with skill in emergency situations.
  • Initiate life-saving measures in the absence of a physician.
  • Assist the medical team in administering advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) measures.
  • Perform Charge Nurse duties when designated.
  • Complete all patient charting within department standards during the normal duty day.
  • Maintain accurate notes in both hard copy and electronic medical records.
  • Adhere to and maintain a system of supply inventory management.
  • Practice hospital safety, infection control, and aseptic techniques.
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with co-workers and other healthcare team members.
  • Obtain and document patient history and pertinent family history.
  • Analyze cardiac rhythms and notify a Physician of any abnormal results.
  • Perform post-operative recovery and discharge within established criteria.
  • Prepare patients for treatments and procedures, including surgical interventions.
  • Documentation of all activity in accordance with requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor specialized medical equipment.
  • Perform a full range of nursing procedures as prescribed by the provider.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in PACU, ICU, or emergency room
  • Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a clinical nurse in an inpatient care setting in the last 5 years.

Education: Associates Degree of Nursing

License & Certification:

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Schedule:

  • 9-hour shifts between 0600-2000; shifts will rotate based on department needs.
