Job Responsibilities

Formulate a plan of care for patients with complicated medical problems in collaboration with patient and family.
Observe the patient’s physical condition and behavior and interpret information obtained from the patient and others.
Ensure that direct and indirect nursing care provides for the patient’s safety, comfort, hygiene and restorative measures.
Perform essential nursing actions and explain health treatment to patients and families.
Teach patients and families how to care for the client’s health needs.
Delegate tasks to health team members based on their legal scope of practice and capabilities.
Follow up with health care team members and provide effective clinical guidance of patient care.
Perform the duties of charge nurse as assigned.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care through observation and communication with patients and healthcare team members.
Act as the patient’s advocate and help initiate procedures to improve healthcare or change decisions against the patient's interests.

BSN preferred
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification

Requirements

Experience: 1 year of pediatric RN experience required

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.

License & Certification:

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification

Schedule:

Full Time Nights
Rotating weekends
