Job Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain quality patient care that ensures the safety and well-being of all patients.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate patient flow.
- Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures as needed.
- Supervise the nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift-to-shift basis.
- Act as the designated on-site hospital administrator during nights.
- Assess all requests for administrator-on-call contact during the shift.
- Oversee all hospital activities in the absence of Administration and/or department directors.
- Work under the Administrator on-call to activate the disaster plan and coordinate related activities.
- Round and maintain open communication with all staff.

Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
Requirements
Experience: Three years of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
Education: Graduate of a nursing program required.
License & Certification:
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification required
