Job Responsibilities

Accept responsibility for all department functions in support of mission, vision, values, and facility goals.
Make critical thinking decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
Ensure patient safety of the Postpartum and Newborn Nursery practice environments.
Integrate the management of information and effective communication skills in daily practice.
Serve as a liaison to foster partnerships with patients and significant others.
Support continuity of care and coordination of care across care settings.
Maintain high quality age & development-specific care for infant to adult populations.
Create Women’s Health specific initiatives and process improvements.
Build collaborative relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
Manage multiple levels of personnel including supervisory positions, payroll, budget, capital, business plan, and physician relationships.
Organize and supervise human and material resources.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years management experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

License & Certification:

Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
Current BLS provider card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
NRP required
