Job Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations on one of Froedtert's largest units.
Provide support to the Director of Nursing.
Supervise and coordinate patient care and personnel.
Maintain unit-specific standard of practice based on current literature and professional standards.
Collaborate with Staff Development department and unit educators for staff orientation and continuing education.
Assist with nursing schools and regulatory requirements.
Participate in patient and family education.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Interpersonal skills to instruct and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel.
Analytical skills to prepare nursing care plans and implement effective nursing care.
Attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods, especially during stressful situations.

Experience: Approximately two-years clinical practice in designated specialty.

Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required or enrolled in an academic program leading to a nursing degree.

Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
