Job Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and provide general supervision for assigned clinical areas, including Health and Wellness Center Services: Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Plastic Surgery, and Women’s Health Breast Center.
- Oversee budgetary issues, compliance with quality initiatives, and regulatory mandates.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs to enhance patient care and support department growth.
- Promote a safe and professional healthcare environment.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Interact courteously and professionally with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and across departments.
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff.
- Conduct staff training, competency assessments, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Lead daily huddles and ensure alignment with department goals.
- Assist in policy review, workflow updates, and quality improvement processes.
- Monitor compliance and take corrective actions as needed.
- Use data to improve care processes.
- Support supply management and ensure necessary resources are available.
- Actively participate in performance appraisals and resolve performance issues.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans and ensure patient safety protocols are followed.
- Foster a collaborative, goal-oriented work environment.
- Manage recruitment, orientation, and training of nursing staff.
- Oversee the management of Ambulatory Care clinic work queues.
- Monitor clinical rooming activities and ensure accurate documentation.
- Utilize reports to support clinical decisions and improve workflow.
- Effectively de-escalate patient or staff concerns.
- Act as a patient advocate and resolve staff issues to foster a positive work environment.
Required Skills

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in management or supervisory roles within an Ambulatory Care setting.
Requirements
Experience: 5 years in an Ambulatory Care setting, with at least 2 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
License & Certification:
- Current New York State RN licensure.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
