Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to specific patient populations to optimize care and experience.
- Coordinate the plan of care and act as a liaison between providers, departments, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with procedures, perform tests, prepare or administer medications, and obtain specimens as needed.
- Act as first contact for patients, providing triaging and medical advice where applicable.
- Monitor and manage patient appointments, testing, and labs necessary for the patient population.
- Assist with obtaining prior-authorizations for the patient population.
- Prepare educational material for patient use.
- Educate and counsel patients concerning medical conditions, medications, or treatments.
- Provide specialized nursing assistance in research efforts when applicable.
- Provide advice, education, and consultation services to nursing staff of any unit that cares for the same patient population.
- Attend conferences or educational opportunities to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
Required Skills

Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Certification relevant to the specialized care
Requirements
Experience: Two years’ experience as an RN OR five years’ experience as an LPN required.
Education: Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board.
License & Certification:
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Schedule:
- 40 hours weekly
