Job Responsibilities
- Review and understand course objectives and apply teaching techniques to achieve goals.
- Model effective communication that engages students and improves learning.
- Discuss student concerns related to learning experiences.
- Assist students in understanding values and ideals of the healthcare profession.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clinical sites.
- Participate in formal and informal meetings with faculty members.
- Provide instruction in clinical, classroom, and simulation lab settings.
- Supervise a group of 6 to 10 students during clinical rotations.
- Coordinate patient assignments with clinicians at the clinical site.
- Orient students to the clinical area and demonstrate proper procedures.
- Ensure compliance with care and conduct policies during clinical instruction.
- Lead discussions to assess student learning and achievement of clinical objectives.
- Teach students duties required at the clinical site and address their questions.
- Maintain clinical standards and expectations throughout the course.
- Evaluate and grade student performance.
- Maintain professional knowledge in contemporary nursing practice.
- Communicate with coordinators to resolve clinical issues.
- Collaborate with faculty members and participate in faculty meetings.
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation activities.
- Adhere to faculty expectations set by the College and the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional nursing experience within the last 5 years.
Education: Master’s degree in nursing required.
