- Coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle.
- Oversee operational issues during the shift.
- Provide clinical care as needed when patient census demands.
- Communicate patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leaders.
- Serve as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
